A scientific study is currently being carried out by Ms. Johanna Rambow in connection with a Master’s thesis of the Master’s course in Naturopathy and Complementary Medicine at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Idstein.
Participants in this study will be examined for improvements in their skin beauty, aging and health after learning TM.
24 test subjects (12 meditators and an equally large control group) will be examined for this purpose. The content of this Master’s program includes many complementary methods for healing and, above all, prevention. The fact that meditation boosts telomerase, an enzyme that counteracts the shortening of chromosome ends (telomeres) during cell division and thus slows down biological aging, is demonstrated here and the visible effects of these processes on skin health and aging are investigated.
What exactly happens in our bodies when we meditate? Another study found that meditation can increase the activity of telomerase, an enzyme that helps to maintain the length of telomeres. Telomeres are the protective caps at the ends of our chromosomes that naturally shorten as we age. This shortening is associated with a number of age-related degradation processes. By increasing telomerase activity, meditation can help to slow down the shortening of telomeres.
Telomeres protect our chromosomes from damage. But each time a cell divides, the telomeres get a little shorter. Eventually they become so short that the cell can no longer divide and dies.
However, studies have shown that regular meditation can help to slow down the shortening of telomeres. It was found that people who meditated regularly had longer telomeres than people who did not meditate. This suggests that meditation can help reduce the risk of age-related diseases and lead to a longer, healthier life.
Please donate for the participation of the 12 test persons who will learn TM in connection with this study.
